Description

Join us for a fun night out watching films under the stars!

About the film: Dazed and Confused

Writer/director Richard Linklater’s honest, hilarious, and enduringly quotable film is a take on the last day of school in 1976 and the teen cliques jocks and stoners, seniors and freshmen that dominated Austins burger stands, strip malls, and moontowers. DAZED AND CONFUSED isn’t a rework of teen movie cliches, nor is it empty nostalgia or a That 70s Show-style send-up. Linklater’s love letter to an era gone by makes DAZED a genuine and true portrait of its time and place.

After the film stars Matthew McConaughey and Parker Posey, director Richard Linklater and host Jack Black in a conversation recorded via Zoom look back at a film that captured the look and the sounds of an entire generation.
