The Legacy Theatre is proud to present one of Broadway’s timeless classics, Meredith Willson’s THE MUSIC MAN!

One of the most cherished American classics marches onto the Legacy stage! A fast-talking traveling salesman brings trouble to River City, Iowa when he cons the townspeople into buying instruments for an imaginary band but his plans are foiled when his heart is stolen by the town librarian. A sensation when it opened on Broadway in 1957, “The Music Man” will touch your heart and have you dancing in the aisles!

Directed by Scott Richardson
Choreography by Susan Collier
Vocal Direction by Matt Woodson
Musical Direction by Melissa Blankestyn

A word about the ticket fee: The Legacy is an all-volunteer-run theatre, and does not maintain daily box office hours. The lowest ticket fee around, this nominal charge is assessed by our ticketing service (Brown Paper Tickets) and allows the convenience of online ticketing and 24/7 telephone sales for our guests.

The theatre offers box office hours beginning 90 minutes prior to a performance, with tickets available for THAT PERFORMANCE ONLY. Advance tickets are only available online or by calling our ticketing reservation line at the theatre – 217.528.9760. Leave a message and one of our ticket office volunteers will call you back.

COVID PROTOCOLS

The safety of our guests and our volunteers is important to us.

We are currently planning for reduced capacity seating.

When you purchase your ticket, much like making a reservation at a restaurant, you are purchasing a seat reservation. The theatre will assign seats in the order in which purchases are made, to allow us to socially distance seating.

You may indicate any special seating requests in the space provided when making your online reservation. We will make every attempt to accommodate special requests, but cannot guarantee a request.

Guests who have purchased ticket reservations will receive an email approximately one week prior to the performance with updated protocols and additional information.

Please know that our capacity may change as state guidelines are updated.

We encourage guests to make advance ticket reservations, rather than purchase at the door.

At this time, masks will not be required for fully vaccinated guests.

LOBBY WILL OPEN 90 MIN PRIOR TO SHOW

THEATRE DOORS WILL OPEN 45 MIN PRIOR TO SHOW

GUESTS MAY NOT CONGREGATE IN THE LOBBY

THE LEGACY LOUNGE WILL BE OPEN FOR REFRESHMENTS
