Each Monday night at 7:30pm (EDT) the Playwrights Lab at Hollins University and Mill Mountain Theatre present a talk by a prominent working professional theatre artist. This year, due to ongoing pandemic restrictions the Monday Night Guest Speaker Series will be presented live via Zoom.

This week’s guest is Edward B. Smith director, actor, producer.

As an artist of color, Smith recognizes the power of experiencing ones own history and world view manifest on stage and within administrative practices, as well as furthering connections to the stories of others. He holds a B.F.A. in performance and an M.A. in leadership/administration from Ohio University. For the last ten years, Smith has been a mainstay in the acting company at the Stratford Festival of Canada.


After making your reservation, you will get an email with a confirmation of your request, but it won’t include the Zoom link or event instructions. YOU WILL GET AN EMAIL ABOUT AN HOUR BEFORE THE EVENT WITH THE LINK TO THE PERFORMANCE and any additional directions specific to the event.

You can join the event up to 15 minutes before the start time. Running time is approximately 90 minutes, including the Q&A. DON’T LIVE ON THE EAST COAST? PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE TIME DIFFERENCE!

Cancellation / Return / Exchange Policy

An event ticket, booking, or other virtual product purchase is considered a completed order at the time of purchase. Physical orders are considered completed when the product has been shipped. Sellers (the event creator) may also define their own terms related to cancellation and reschedules of events and booking engagements due to COVID-19 impacts, low enrollment, inclement weather, or other circumstances which would make the event non-viable.

Shomee reserves the right to cancel ticket orders for any reason, not limited to incorrect billing information and/or fraud.
