SCHEHERAZADE:  July 26-29

Scheherazade, the Queen of Persia was a wonderful storyteller. She told her husband, the sultan, 1,001 stories! Whether she told of sailors, pirates, ghouls, magicians, or sorcerers, he couldnt wait to hear her next story.

Though we cant tell all her stories of One Thousand and One Arabian Nights, this swash buckling ballet with music by Korsakov will make you wonder what happens next.

Monday through Thursday,
Your young dancers will explore a different story ballet each week culminating in a Thursday family performance.

The children will use improvisation, basic movement concepts, folk dance, and classical ballet to recreate the story ballets.
Your children will design and construct costumes, props, and scenery to enhance their production.

At snack time, well explore different cultures as we sample foods from around the world.
